(1) Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Data Specialist (1)
Reporting to: Head of School Network Location: Kampala
The MEL and Data Specialist role is designed to lead the analysis of data to drive support and supervision across a network of 28 schools. You will play a critical role and will be challenged to produce fast, high-quality analysis of school data, guided by the needs of school support and global teams. Unlike the traditional M&E roles in the NGO sector, this role will focus heavily on data analysis, with a small number of M&E projects where need arises. We want an excellent data analyst, who can work as an independent team member whilst also working in collaboration and coordination across the Uganda and global teams. You will serve as the driving force for the School Information System across the network, providing guidance, capacity building and support to schools and school support teams.
(2) Job Title: Grants and Business Development Coordinator (1)
Reporting to: Country Director Location: Kampala
As Grants and Business Development Coordinator, you’ll be the key lead in coordinating the reporting and management of large operational grants whilst responding to ad hoc donor and global team requests. This is a critical role in and to excel, you’ll need to be highly organized with the ability to organize others and educate others on the importance of our grants and funders. Alongside grant management and reporting, you will be responsible for growing and stewarding PEAS funding partnerships in Uganda. This is a great opportunity for a confident communicator who is excited about being proactive and seeking out new partnerships for PEAS whilst working closely with the global team to develop funding proposals to support our work.
(3) Job Title: Country Finance Manager (1)
Reporting to: Deputy Country Director of Operations Location: Kampala
As Country Finance Manager you will be primarily responsible for the overall financial health of the country’s finances and a member of the senior management team. You will play a critical role in maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems; oversees cost and general account risk management and ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will provide oversight for cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll and risk management and ensuring that the financial personnel are both motivated and high performing. Alongside your operational responsibilities, you’ll work alongside the Deputy Country Director of Operations to deliver our finance strategic plans.
(4) Job Title: Senior School Support Officers (4)
Reporting to: Head of School Network
Location: Regional Clusters – Fort Portal, Mayuge, Kumi, and Amuria
As a Senior School Support officer (SSSO), you will play a pivotal role in the success of our schools; delivering direct support and being accountable for improving their performance by working alongside our fantastic school staff. We’re looking for someone who has a clear vision on what the key ingredients are to be a great school and be committed to deliver that for every PEAS student. We want a credible educator whose opinion is valued by our school staff and communities, someone who relishes the opportunity to build relationships with and mentor others. As a key player in driving school performance, you should not be afraid to take difficult decisions to ensure that the PEAS mission and approach is achieved in every school and classroom. This is not an office- based role so to be successful as a Senior School Support Officer, you should be passionate about being in the field, and doing hands on support to schools.
(5) Job Title: Procurement Assistant (1)
Reporting to: Senior Procurement Officer Location: Kampala
As Procurement Assistant you will play a support role involving the purchasing of equipment, materials and supplies. You will initiate purchase requests and keep track of the stages through which each order is routed until receipt and purchase. Working under the general supervision of the Senior Procurement Officer, you will support them in receiving materials purchased, processing necessary supporting documentation. You’ll follow up on behalf of the department and the procurement and contracts committees’ tasks and assignments that facilitate effective delivery of the service to the network. This is a great opportunity for someone who can show good judgement and initiative whilst working within the defined PEAS procurement policies and procedures and would like to develop their experience in procurement.
(6) Job Title: Administrative Assistant (1)
Reporting to: People & Culture Manager Location: Kampala
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for all external stakeholder enquiries whether face to face, post, phone or e-mail. You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring that their enquiries are dealt professionally and effectively. This is an important role, providing both support to others and ensuring the smooth running of the Uganda office. You will be managing the reception, office maintenance and providing
administrative assistance to CST so to be successful in this role, you must be organised, adaptable and have a desire to learn. This would be a great opportunity for an energetic individual looking to develop their professional skills whilst working in a fast-paced INGO.
